The Washington Commanders will be must-see TV in 2025. Thanks to quarterback Jayden Daniels, the Commanders had their best season in 33 years, going 12-5 last season and making it all the way to the NFC championship game.

The NFL loves stars, and casuals love stars. So, when the NFL makes its annual schedule, it's common to see superstars, such as Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, playing in at least five or six prime-time games. That could be Daniels and the Commanders in 2025.

The NFL will officially reveal next season's schedule on Wednesday evening. Currently, the Commanders have only officially announced one game: Week 16 vs. the Eagles at home, which will be played on a Saturday, five days before Christmas.

Here are some predictions about which Washington games will be in prime time.

Commanders at Eagles

Jayden Daniels vs. the NFL's best team. Two division rivals. The Eagles didn't take Washington seriously for a long time. That has now changed. And it's not just Daniels. The Commanders have one of the league's top GMs (Adam Peters) and head coaches (Dan Quinn). Peters spent the offseason trying to close the gap between the two teams. This rivalry will be fun for a long time.

Eagles at Commanders

You see what we did here? There's a good chance both games will be in prime time. This game has already been announced for Week 16 on Saturday. The game could be played at 1 p.m. ET or 4 p.m., but the NFL would love to have the entire sports world tuned into this game on a Saturday night with two of the NFC's best battling for playoff positioning.

Bears at Commanders

This rivalry should be spicy for a long time. There's new Bears coach Ben Johnson, who flirted with the Commanders two years before staying with Detroit. There's also the fact that Quinn's Commanders embarrassed Johnson in his final game as the Lions' OC. There's the Hail Mary game from last season, which changed the trajectory of Chicago's season. Finally, there's the quarterbacks. The No. 1 (Caleb Williams) and No. 2 (Jayden Daniels) picks from the 2024 NFL draft. These two will be compared for years. Both teams should be playoff contenders for years to come. This game is built for prime time.

Commanders at Chiefs

There were rumors this could be the Christmas game. That's unlikely now, as Kansas City is expected to play someone else. However, there's no way the NFL has Jayden Daniels and Patrick Mahomes playing at 1 p.m. on a Sunday.

Commanders vs. Cowboys (either game)

There's a chance that Washington will play Dallas on Thanksgiving Day, which would leave the Cowboys' game at Washington as a prime-time possibility. The NFL has waited for both of these teams to be competitive at the same time for years. Now's the time. This one is built for the bright lights.

Broncos at Commanders

Why the Broncos? This features the top two quarterbacks from last season's rookie class: Daniels and Bo Nix. The NFL is all about quarterbacks, and these two look like two of the best for years to come. When you add that both teams were playoff teams in 2024, it makes it easier to put this one in prime time.
