Vanderbilt baseball's RJ Austin won the Rawlings Gold Glove award for college outfielders on June 18.

Austin, a junior from Atlanta, had been named a finalist for the award along with Logan Braunschweig from Alabama, Malakhi Knight from Washington, Caleb Shpur from Connecticut, Scott Newman from USC Upstate and Conner Westenburg from McNeese State.

Austin made the 2025 SEC all-tournament team and SEC all-defensive team.

During the 2025 season he had a .986 fielding percentage with 138 putouts, six assists and two errors.

He hit .257 with 42 RBIs and a team-high 22 steals.

Austin is considered among the top 100 prospects in 2025 MLB mock drafts.
