The Cardinals are playing this right. If DJ stays healthy, they will probably pay him after this season because of Rosen's rookie contract and the space it opens up. I wouldn't give him a big contract, but they will feel the pressure in supporting Rosen, and competing with the 49ers and Rams.

Don’t mind them wanting to see DJ another year before maxing him out. Money won’t be an issue and you want your young franchise QB to have an elite RB.

After Gurley, Rodgers, OBJ, Mack, Aaron Donald deals, I think DJ's ask went up. Whether Cards wil pay is something that has to unfold.
I personally would pay him close to Gurley money for 4 years.
