The Jay Johnson era started with an impressive win at Rice. I think Byrne hit a home run with this hire as Johnson is a great baseball mind and also an excellent recruiter. Here is an article on the Cats opening day win.

If ASU's biggest athletic accomplishment of this academic year is its rival losing in a national championship game, that doesn't speak well of the current state of ASU athletics.
