Lynn Swann announced a few weeks ago he's leaving USC and today UCLA announced Dan Guerrero will be retiring at the end of the year.
The reported front runner at UCLA is current Fresno State AD Terry Tumey who apparently played NG for UCLA FB in the mid 80's. Only been at FSU since 2018 but several UCLA sites and LA Times are reporting he's the clear front runner.
On Lynn Swann it was fairly widely known they were not happy with him but now interesting rumors as to why he announced when he did. The LA times did an "Expose" story 2 days before he announced that said the founder of Public Storage, a HUGE USC booster(over 400 million) had pushed them to hire Swann. The booster is apparently buddies with OJ Simpson, Al Cowlings and Swann and while USC had denied it internally apparently he played a big role in Swann getting hired. 2 days after the LA Times printed that story, Swann announced he was leaving.
