Between Cards and Rams for the Thursday night game:

1. We had to travel while they were at home
2. We played an overtime game four days ago while Rams did not - this is a key difference, IMO

I noticed that we were missing the fire and aggressiveness.

I noticed that we were missing the fire and aggressiveness.

Difference #3 - Their offensive line run blocked and pass blocked better than ours did.

Difference #4 - Their pass rushers had 8 more sacks than ours did.

Difference #5 - They connected on 2 deep passes behind coverage. We clicked on zero.

Difference #6 - Their punter outkicked our punter.

Difference #7 - Their kicker outkicked our kicker

Difference #8 - Their RB's outgained our RB's 122 yds to 45.

I noticed that we were missing the fire and aggressiveness.

They also had an early game vs our afternoon game and I'd say those small differences really added to the home town advantage. But, Miami had none of those advantages and we saw a lot of the same problems at home against them. We may have a punchers chance in any of our upcoming matches but the rest of the league now knows we have a glass jaw. We're going to need better excuses as the season wears on.
