But seriously, he was the most fearless two-strike hitter I ever saw (and that goes back to the '50's).
Which is why I lobbied on this (and preceding) boards for Craig Counsell to supplant Tony Womack as our leadoff hitter, which he eventually did.
CC made everyone else in the batting order better, by letting them see what the opposing Pitcher did (or did not) have that day.
