Turn off alerts?

Recently I modified my "alert" settings. Now I receive an alert for every single new thread start. My mistake. Now I can't figure out how to turn that feature off. Any help appreciated.

Do you have the Cards Forum selected in Watched Forums?

For Forum alerts - STOP WATCHING FORUMS in that pull down menu at the above link;

Turn off any emails here: http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/forum/account/preferences

Remove anything here: http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/forum/account/alert-preferences (I have mine all checked and only get alerts when someone quotes me or likes my post)
