DRESDEN — Winning pitcher Gavin Harrold and Quinton Hindel combined on the five-inning no-hitter in Tri-Valley's 10-0 win over John Glenn in Muskingum Valley League baseball on May 7.
Harrold had six strikeouts in three innings and added a double, a single and two RBIs for the Tri-Valley offense. Brady Kaufman also doubled, singled and drove in three runs and Ryan Lamonica swatted two doubles, brought in three runs and scored twice for the winners, who remained perfect in MVL play.
Sheridan 15, Morgan 0 (5 inn.): Brody White drove in four runs and Cole Cashdollar also had two RBIs to pace the Generals in a five-inning mercy.
White struck out eight and allowed the Raiders' only hit in four innings, and Austin Cannon tossed a scoreless inning of relief. Noah Wamer added two singles and three runs scored, Shawn Griffey hit a double and a single and Camdyn Packer had two singles and scored three times.
River View 5, Ridgewood 0: Cole Greenwalt went the distance for the shutout victory, fanning seven and allowing four hits.
Maguire Werntz added two hits and two RBIs, Brody Buxton doubled with two RBIs, Layton Massie added two hits and Lucas Meiser doubled and singled for the winners.
Jace McQueen hit two singles and Maison Kiser had six strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings in taking the loss.
Buckeye Trail 8, Caldwell 6: Laine Wayble ripped two doubles, scored twice and drove in two runs, as the Warriors used a four-run fourth to take control before holding on late for the win.
Mason McQuain hit two singles with a pair of RBIs and two runs scored, Tyler Harrell added two hits and Tyeson Mercer knocked in two runs for Trail. Mercer also earned the win, allowing four runs on six hits in 5 2/3 innings.
Philo 9, Crooksville 4: Cooper Radcliffe hit a double and a singled and drove in two runs and Clayton Colborn added a double, a single and a RBI to pace the Electrics' offensive attack.
Brayden Payton also doubled with two RBIs, Jack Lincicome hit a double with a RBI and Wyatt Tysinger allowed two hits and struck out six in five scoreless innings for the win.
Gavin Mount had three singles and Kameron Savage singled twice with a RBI for the Ceramics.
New Lexington 8, Coshocton 7 (10 inn.): Clay Miller walked it off with a two-run single in the 10th inning, lifting the Panthers to a Small School win.
Paul Stenson had three hits, Carson Fortner chipped in two hits and two RBIs, and Gus Pearson and Jaxson Newlon also had two hits for New Lex, while Dylan Wood had four hits and four RBIs, JJ Herman added two hits and four runs scored and Cooper George had a single with two RBIs for Coshocton.
Rosecrans 18, Harvest Prep 0 (5 inn.): Jacobie Balo collected three hits and four runs scored and Coen Grandstaff added two singles and four RBIs to lead the Bishops to a Mid-State League Cardinal Division win.
Hayden Perdue chipped two singles, three RBIs and three runs scored, Kohen Harris had two hits and three RBIs and Titan Grandstaff and Haiden Omen also had two hits in the victory.
Buckeye Trail 7, East Canton 2: Easton Rominger went 4-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and Sam Wayble added three hits and two RBIs in an IVC win on May 5.
Wayble earned the win, overcoming six walks by allowing three hits and striking out three in 5 1/3 innings. Owen Carpenter threw 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief and Tyeson Mercer added two hits and two RBIs for the Warriors.

Ava Gleason added two hits and two RBIs and Jorja Burkhart doubled and singled for the New Lex offense, while Daylee Foster had two hits and Calie Smith doubled with a RBI for the Tornadoes.
Tri-Valley 5, John Glenn 3: Paiton Murphy hit a walk-off, two-run home run to give the Scotties a Big School Division win against the Muskies.
Murphy also struck out 11 and scattered five hits in a complete game victory, Ally Peterson went 3-for-3 with two runs scored, Delaney Bell doubled and singled and Larsyn Holdsworth belted a solo homer for the TV offense.
Kinley Porter had a single, a RBI and two runs scored and Kendall Snider fanned 12 and allowed eight hits in a complete game loss for John Glenn.
Conotton Valley 10, Ridgewood 4: Addison Lahmers collected a double, a single and three RBIs, but the Generals had just five hits and committed six errors in a loss to the Rockets.
Rosecrans 16, Harvest Prep 1 (5 inn.): Abby Sagan totaled two hits, three runs scored and two RBIs and Mallory Moody had three hits and scored twice to highlight the Bishops' offense.
Dakota Householder earned the win, fanning seven and allowing two hits in four innings. She also chipped in two hits, two runs scored and three RBIs, Emily Jenkins doubled and singled and Serenaty Gibson doubled with three RBIs for the winners.
Tri-Valley girls 106, Morgan 34, Coshocton 21; Morgan boys 80, Tri-Valley 65, Coshocton 37: The Scottie girls and Raider boys claimed MVL tri-meet wins on May 6.
Winners for the Scottie girls were Lydia Ripple in the 100 (13.44), Erin Hogue in first in the 800 (2:25), Taylor Crozier in the 1,600 (5:49), Jordyn Frost in the 3,200 (14:10), Estella Newell in the 300 hurdles (56.13), 4x100 (57.36), 4x200 (2:06.42), 4x800 (12:16), Madalyn Sigman in the long jump (13-9 1/2) and pole vault (6-6) and Mackenzie Harvey in the discus (108-8 1/2) and shot (34-9).
Ava Davis won the 200 (27.83) and 400 (1:01.9) and Josie Patterson came in first in the high jump (4-8) for the Morgan girls, while Akeela Estvanko won the 100 hurdles for Coshocton.
Braylon Miller won the 100 (11.4), 200 (22.57) and 400 (50.68) to lead the Raider boys, while other winners were Rylan Tom in the 300 hurdles (50.4) and 3,200 (12:28), the 4x400 (4:32) and 4x800 (9:25) and Jaxon Pauley in the long jump (19-10).
Alexander Hogue in the 800 (2:15.55), Dalton Crozier the 1,600 (4:34), Kam Karns the 110 hurdles (16.26), Hayden Stevens in the pole vault (12-0) and Chris Gargasz in the discus (143-1) and shot (52-8) won for the TV boys, while Coshocton's 4x100 (47.76), 4x200 (1:43.52) and Colton Conkle in the high jump (5-8) placed first.
MVL holds postseason tournament: Crooksville, John Glenn, Maysville, Morgan, Roseville, and Tri-Valley, took part in the league meet on May 3, at the Southeastern Ohio Sportsmans Association archery range in Crooksville. The season results are based off of Pre-season tournament, Head to Head dual matches and the Post-season Tournament.
