I totally agree Krang, there is nothing funny about that picture. Talk about a guy who's life has gone down the tubes. He looks like a totally broken man. I actually got to talk to Tommy a few times, and he was very personable, and a very down to earth guy. With that '98 team, he seemed to be a fixture at safety, but clearly it has been downhill since then. I really hope he can get things turned around.

Sorry but being a Police officer and having made 100s of arrests for such petty crimes and drug usage charges I must say I have absolutely zero sympathy for the week minded!


He made his choices and he must pay!

First of all, it is "weak" minded, just a minor grammatical correction. Second of all, to not feel any sympathy for the guy is pretty heartless. I am not saying what he did was right at all, of course the guy has made some mistakes. However, that doesn't mean that you can't feel sympathy for him. It's much easier to judge someone and label them weak minded, then to try to understand what led them to that choice, and try to help them.

I agree Shane but I can't help but remember the Tommy Bennet of '98 and I felt really bad for him when I saw the picture. Damn it Tommy, the choices some people make.

Who cares what lead him to his decisions? He is a grown ass man he didnt have a gun to his head as he was sniffing the coke he put in his nose Im quite certain!

He did the crime he needs to do the time bottom line!

I think most people would agree that many factors can lead people to doing stupid things, even things out of their control. Once again, it's very simple to label someone weak minded and a druggie. If you think its worthy of sympathy then it is. Its your sympathy and you can give it to whomever you choose.

I have met Tommy as well and he was nice and cordial as well. Howevor that does not make me feel anymore sympathy for the guy. He made an adult decision and now he is paying with adult consequences.

I really dont care what led to his decision TRULY! If you do please name me one thing in life that you know of is a justifiable reason for starting to do cocaine? I would be interested in hearing that?

I can come up with one pretty easily. If someone legitimately said "Do cocaine, or I will destroy the world", that is probably a justifiable reason.... Once again, I am not trying to justify anything, I just feel sorry for the guy, I mean jesus, look at the picture. Just sad. You are welcome to your opinion as well, I may not agree with it, but I don't think either of us will lose any sleep over it. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree....

Hmm yea I think I would give in to that threat as well being that I would like for my 8 year old son to have the opportunity to grow old!
