Throughout his 23-year career, former NFL quarterback Tom Brady established himself as one of the best players in the league's history, winning a total of seven Super Bowls and making 15 Pro Bowls.

Due to the tremendous amount of success he saw on the field, it often seemed as though he was unstoppable, but of course, that's not true, as he faced his fair share of impressive talent on opposing defenses.

During an appearance on the "IMPAULSIVE" YouTube channel, he was asked if there were any defenders that he was afraid to take a hit from, to which he had no problem responding.

"A lot of guys… Ray Lewis was at the top,” Brady said.

Of course, Brady's choice of Lewis comes at almost no shock, because in an article for Sportskeeda, Orlando Silva ranked the former member of the Baltimore Ravens as the third hardest hitting player in NFL history

Throughout his 17 years in the NFL, Lewis cemented himself as a truly elite defender, making 12 Pro Bowls, being named First-Team All-Pro seven times, and now sits in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

In that time, Lewis racked up 2,059 tackles, 41.5 sacks, 99 tackles for loss, 31 interceptions, 19 forced fumbles and 20 fumble recoveries.

The two would spend 13 years together in the NFL from 2000 to 2012 and wound up facing off in five regular-season games and three playoff matchups, with Brady holding the all-time lead, going 5-3.

Lewis sacked Brady just once in all matchups combined, which came in a wild-card game during the 2009 season, but that was clearly still enough for the linebacker to inject some serious fear into the three-time MVP.
