NFL legend Tom Brady was the lead color analyst on the FOX Super Bowl LIX broadcast, which featured the Patrick Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs. Brady has often expressed his appreciation for Mahomes' career achievements, and he has shown it again recently during a conversation with Complex as part of his old hobby.
On a recent walkthrough of his CardVault store at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Brady noticed a rare Patrick Mahomes 2017 Donruss Optic Rookie Autograph Holo card. I haven't seen this one," Brady said. "I want that in my collection. Make sure you don't sell that one."
The Mahomes card was priced at $7,500, as Brady would explain the importance of appreciating his greatness and potentially breaking more records.
"If he (Mahomes) does break the records, and even last year, they had a chance to go for a three-peat, i would have been so happy to be there to watch it." said Brady, "When you accomplish a lot, and is very fortunate to do that, like you have people that are doing incredible things. I always think we should talk about those things. How remarkable they really are, because that's really what's inspiring about it. You want other people always to see what you're doing, and you set a certain bar, and then they go after it."
Mahomes has often cited Brady as his target goal, success-wise, as he continues to evolve as a superstar quarterback.
