My first real concert was ozzfest 1996 (before it was called ozzfest). Ozzy, Slayer, Danzig, fear factory, sepultura and neurosis.

Maybe biohazard too? I don't remember.

I forgot all about Fear Factory. Loved those guys. Met them at The Mason Jar way way back in the 90's. They were impressed I knew that one of the voice samples they used was from a Star Trek Movie.

Pretty damn good lineup for your first non-turtle show.

Was it the show with static x before anyone knew who static x was? That show sold out so fast. Fear factory in that tiny bar would have been amazing

I saw what I assume was a knockoff shirt at the Slayer show last week that said fear factory but it had the Terminator on it. Awesome.

I remember that one specifically for a few reasons,

1) back then I was at the mason jar it seemed weekly.
2) they were a band that had zero business playing at the mason jar. Megadeth also did an invite only acoustic show there around the same time. I didnt get to go, a buddy went, said it was amazing and kept talking about some new band named static x that was awesome and I of course blew that off because they were nobody.
