Lebanon Softball
The Lebanon softball team topped Benton Central 4-2 on Monday night.
After giving up two runs in the top of the first, Lebanon tied the game in the bottom of the inning on an error and a 2-out single from Morgan Stofer.
Ellie Cooper gave the Tigers the lead with an RBI-single in the second, and an RBI-sacrifice fly off the bat of Addy Zell in the fifth gave the Tigers an insurance run.
MacKenzie Carey was 2-for-3 with a run scored. Krryn Miller scored two runs.
Miley Wilhoite allowed two runs on nine hits, striking out four.
The Tigers host Southmont on Tuesday.
Lebanon Baseball
The Lebanon baseball team lost 11-6 to Clinton Prairie on Monday evening.
After giving up three runs in the top of the first, Lebanon got a 2-run double from Andrew Kaylor to get back with a run.
But Prairie, got back-to-back two-out walks followed by a 3-run homer to make it 6-2 in the second.
Kaylor hit an RBI-single to make it 6-3 in the third, but the Gophers scored twice in the fifth to push the lead to 8-3.
Ben Johnson had an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth, and an RBI-triple by Owen Taylor followed by a single from Joe Susong made it 9-6 in the sixth, but the Tigers couldn't complete the comeback.
Taylor was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Johnson was 3-for-4 and Kaylor was 2-for-4 with three RBIs. Eli Gibboney and Susong had two hits each.
Gibboney struck out six in six innings.
