Anyone who likes/liked the Vince Flynn books would absolutely love these… I highly highly highly recommend. I am on book 6 now and these are fast paced, brutal, and just fantastic.

These two authors have two other series that are awesome as well.

Yeah I loved this series. Highly recommend it as you did.

I also loved their Sons of Valor books as Chunk is a cool character.

But I haven't delved into The Shepherds series yet as it seems to be too religious in my reading some of the reviews. @Shane what's your take on Shepherds?

Other series that I loved and finished in this genre include:

Gray Man by Mark Greaney - 12 books

John Rain "world" by Barry Eisler - 22 books

Terminal List by Jack Carr - 5 books and 6th released next month

Orphan X - Greg Hurwitz - 11 books

Mitch Rapp - Vince Flynn, Kyle Mills - 21 books

Jonathan Quinn - Brett Battles - 16 books

And my favorite
Victor the Assassin by Tom Wood - 8 books

I am on book three of sons of Valor. I actually started with those first did the first 2 and switched to the tier 1 due to author recognition and a sale going on lol.

But I have heard nothing but good and the reviews are fantastic for The Shepherds. I’m sure I’ll give it a chance as soon as I finish all of the ones in both of the others first. I am hooked. I was in the gym on the treadmill and was in tears during the Shane Smith moment.. lol I’m all in…..smh

Victor the assassin is by far your favorite? Never heard of it. I’ll check it out.

Yeah, I just got done with that book. I am curious who they would cast for JD, Heels, and Chunk.

I’m on book 2 of the Shephards and it very much revolves around good and evil with religion/Devil etc…. It was slow going at first but I’m definitely into it now. I’m enjoying it and the characters. It’s not as good as the other series but I don’t hate it. I like how they have intertwined operators and the use of special forces type action into it as the tip of the spear in the fight against evil.
