I went into this thinking it would be similar to Everything Everywhere All At Once, but I was definitely wrong. George Miller certainly still has a vivid imagination in what is essentially one of the Arabian Nights. A vast majority of the film are flashbacks about Idris Elba's character. Full of mesmerizing effects, this certainly didn't rely on practical EFX like Mad Max Fury Road did.

Acting was exemplary all around, with both Swinton and Elba carrying the movie, as they should. All in all, I enjoyed it, but it's not for everyone. And definitely for adults.
