Yes a extra veteran CB would be nice and a veteran big-play WR but what this team needs is a BIG DT that will allow Vandenbosch, Bryant, Johnson and Pace to do some damage. When Eric Swann was young, the guy was a monster that made the whole defense better. We need a big plug in the middle that could use up double teams and free up the whole defense. I don't know what a McGlockton or Wilkenson has left in the tank but we need a huge pressence in the middle. Someone to bottle up running lanes. Bell showed some potential but Davis clearly isn't the big DT needed for the job. Tanner was resigned for this purpose but he probably will never progress anymore than he has already shown. The team has tried with players like Dwyer and Fatafehi but they just lack the agility and mean streak to go with their size. Gilbert Brown, when he had some fire and kept his weight somewhat in check gave the Packers this edge. We need a large big boy that takes away the inside, someone that will bullrush or just control the point of attack. I honestly feel that is the key to the puzzle, maybe Jimmy Kennedy could have provided that main element? We need a wall in the center of the line that allows the flood gates to break open.

Agreed. You need a pass rushing DT and a ****** DT. Wendel Bryant will be a good pass rusher. We need a ******.

Well I dont need a fat ass, but the Cardinals sure do...

Team needs:

CB - I love Barrett and Starks, but would love to see a solid backup guy, somone who would be a solid starter... You have to have 3 starting CB's in this league...

DT - With our D line starting to get alot of the pieces together, they Deff. need a "FAT ASS" to line up next to Bryant...

WR - with the draft we seemed to help this spot alot, but a good #1 would help out the youth and talant we have right now...

Good points... but if you check the tapes from the first 4-5 games, Tanner, before he hurt his ankle, was doing the job quite well. And, I must say at 330 or so... you can't find a much bigger ass...

Do you think we will carry...

9 offensive lineman and 9 Defensive lineman and only have 5 Wr and 4 RB including the FB. IF so Anderson or Scobey seem to be the practice squad guys again. And we need a Center or do we go with Starkey and Dish as a backup. The DB area with only Staurks Barrett and Rhinehardt looks suspect. Oh yeah there is always Stone:rolleyes: ....We at this point are 6-10 waiting to happen...I'm not sure we can get any better with what is available or will be after June 1st. Thats why I feel our draft as well as losing Colvin is a major disappointment. In the secondary all we did is trade production from Klass to Jackson and added depth to ageing linebackers(Mac & Darling) whom I don't feel is an upgrade over the old guy we got rid of. We are most certainly more than just a "Fat Ass in the middle" from being a competitive group. We will have to have overachieving S.O.B's again just to stay out of the celler. WoW!!! Now thats fun to watch:confused. I think the roster looks like this with at least one or two overachievers making the squad from the undraftees or late guys: Offense. Blake ,Mcowan,QB Smith, Shipp, Hodgins, RB with maybe Scobey. The line looks like: Shelton, Kendell ,Starkey (or a retread), Big, Clement with Dish, Roundtree and Spikes as backups. Maybe Garcia or a rookie on the squad. Wr's are Bolden, Johnson, Mcaddley, Gilmore, Kasper and maybe one more? This group particularly strikes fear. Thank goodness for Sully he might get hazardous duty pay when it's all said and done. WE might need a backup full back but that is our O. Anyone want to take a stab at how this group avgs 20 pts a game? It's beyond me. The Defense looks like this: KVB, Bryant, Davis, Wakefield, Johnson , Bell, Tanner, Pace, & maybe King. Not exactly the running of the Bulls but I have seen worse against the run. But can they rush the QB with any success? The LB look like Fisher, Mac, Thompson, Woods, Hayes & Darling. This is the Strength of the team:rolleyes: ...Ok...now the DB are Staurks, Barrett, Lucas, Jackson, Stone, Wilson& Rhinehardt. Who will go out on the limb and say this group will keep anyone under 20pts ? And of course our collection of assorted Kickers are BG, And SP. Keep those on the QT or they might go on the IR. SO again one "Fat Ass in the middle of the line will not get this team over the hump. At the very least we are 5 impact guys away from winning the Division and 3 away from competing for second. We are 14mil under the cap(which I said we would be at least 8 to 10 when we are all said and done) and there is no one left worth giving it to. WE have only a couple worth extending and we will probably over pay them. SO how is it we are only one "Fat Ass away in the middle"?????

Chicks dig cigars??? You don't even smoke!

Good breakdown Rats!!!! The cubbard looks bare without Boston on O and with no for sure upgrade on the Def. line. But the Cards are loaded with the usual what ifs. First if, can Jeff Blake continue his consistency (66% completion ratio) with limited int.'s? I think he will and this will add to the pie. If number two, the WR core is going to based upon this so called miracle worker Jerry Sullivan pulling a rabbit out of his hat-they are young and hopefully Bolden and Johnson will make the impact that is needed to be a threat. Because if there is not threat teams will line up 8 men in the box and Emmitt and Company will have an uphill battle. On Defense, this is still the biggest if we need pass rushers. They all left town about 3 to 4 years ago. Suggs would have been nice but we got Pace and he is an if. But I sure like the things he is saying. Talk is cheap though so I am going to say that we will still suffer here and top Db's such as Starks and Wilson will again have to make things happen if we are going to keep up with the high-fliers in the nfc west. I don't think they will and this team could be dreadful this year. I hope I am wrong but 4-12 looks more like it.
