Dave Ramsey would be proud. This is what you're supposed to do. Drive a cheap car and save for the next and pay cash. Sounds like she is well on her way to never having a car payment or going deep into other debt. Props to her !!
Nice. That's they way to do it. My older son graduated from NAU debt free. Worked his butt off to get scholarships and we picked up the tab for the difference. My younger son is on pace to do the same at ASU. Living at home to save money. He gets scholarships, but also chips in the amount he lost due to not keeping his grades up. We cover the difference. We'll do the same with our daughter. If she keeps working hard she won't have to pay for anything. If she loses her discipline she'll have to chip in and we'll cover the difference. Regardless, all three kids will graduate debt free.
Hailey was looking at ASU but got overwhelmed and I think has decided to get her AA at MCC. I told her I would pay for it (the entire AA is only $7,500) and it can prepare her for ASU, give her time to make sure she is getting the right degree and more.
I love the internet. Tonight I somehow got on the topic of rock climbing, which eventually led me to parrots, which led me to YouTube videos of party parrots which led me to this hilarious video. If you watch it, please watch it with the sound on. I can’t stop laughing!
