INDIANAPOLIS – Get ready to return to the upside down.
The Indiana Fever are bringing back their "Stranger Things" themed jerseys for the second half of the season in anticipation of the final season of the Netflix show, which will release later this year and is based in fictional Hawkins, Indiana.
The jerseys, which quickly became fan favorites when they were first released in 2021, are black with red speckles on the jerseys and shorts. Fever is written in the "Stranger Things" font on the front, and it has accents of the claws of the show’s monster, the Demogorgon, as well as 011 on the waistband in recognition of one of the main characters, Eleven.
“This jersey represents the fierce spirit of our team and the fearless energy of 'Stranger Things' — two forces that never back down,” Fever COO and GM Amber Cox said in a statement. “As we celebrate our team and the cultural phenomenon that is 'Stranger Things', we’re thrilled to bring back this awesome collaboration with Netflix.”
The jerseys are already on sale online as of 8 a.m., Wednesday, and they will be available in the team store as well.
The Fever will reintroduce the jerseys Thursday against the Las Vegas Aces and wear them six more times this season: July 30 vs. Phoenix, Aug. 9 vs. Chicago, Aug. 12 vs. Dallas, Aug 26 vs. Seattle, Aug. 29 at Los Angeles, and Sept. 9 vs. Minnesota.
