The story of Man Utd's first-ever wheelchair mascot is quite special
As you may have noticed in Sunday's Manchester derby, Bruno Fernandes led Manchester United out alongside the club's first-ever wheelchair user mascot.
The story of a seven-year-old boy with a famous name, Bobby Moore, is quite special and shows the best of football.
Bobby was born with a rare generic condition known as spinal muscle atrophy, which requires the use of a wheelchair and around the clock care.
He hasn't let it slow him down, and like so many Belfast boys, is a fervent supporter of United, with his favourite player being the Portuguese star.
Having wrote to Fernandes, Moore and his father were brought over to Manchester to meet the captain, Ruben Amorim and some other players, as well as play a game at Carrington.
But his dream weekend would get even better as he led out his beloved side alongside his hero.
Meet Bobby…
On Sunday, he led out his beloved @ManUtd alongside his hero Bruno Fernandes, to become the club’s first ever wheelchair-using mascot.

As Fernandes says, he dreamed of being a footballer for moments like these, which show how a little gesture can make a big difference in someone's life.
