Sheila Jackson Lee says Lewandowski violated article 3 of the Nixon rules by obstructing Congress under orders from the POTUS(the letter from the White house).

Spitballing here based upon my knowledge of privilege generally works.

You can’t get into the substance of the conversations, but you can get into the who, when, where, and the general topic. I think the panel could have gotten some juicy tidbits from him, then used that in a court case to force further testimony.

I think. Don’t hold me to that.

This is following the same pattern. Nothing will come of this just like nothing has come of any of this whole mess... Excepting maybe Cohen, Manafort and they don't matter, neither does Flynn.

One of the frankly oddest parts was when Danny Hurley, err Lewandowski said his safe is very big and full of lots of guns. That was VERY passive aggressive.

It again shows how partisan we all are. Santorum was on CNN last night saying great day for Lewandowski, couldn't have gone better for someone who's planning on running for the Senate. And Dems who saw the last part with Barry Berke are saying I doubt Lewandowski will even bother to run now he has no prayer of winning a nomination let alone a seat. he just admitted on national tv that he lies to the media and has no obligation to tell them the truth, and he was caught in so many other lies by Berke and others he can't possibly be a viable Senate candidate.

Lying to the “librul” media will endear him to GOP voters. Yesterday’s hearing was a loss for Dems precisely because the part that exposed Lewandowski was viewed by virtually nobody when opinions of the hearing had already been formed.

Corey Lewandowski confessed to gaslighting the press. CNN booked him hours later anyway.
Believe it or not, cable news networks are not obligated to showcase liars.

    The idiots never learn.

They have to effectively translate “I don’t have an obligation to tell the truth to the media” to “I lie to the citizens of this country” because that’s what he did. He’s on television. His audience isn’t the media, it’s the people watching . . . the citizens of the United States, his potential constituents if he runs. They have to clarify what he really said, because that’s the painful truth of what he said.

I would’ve liked to see the following question included: so are we to understand that unless you are formally under oath no one should expect you to tell the truth because we can only count on that when you’re under oath?

I think from now on anytime any media conducts an interview they should require the interviewee to swear under oath that they’ll tell the truth. If they refuse then call them dishonest and end the interview immediately. If they agree, then later you call their oaths into question. It doesn’t have any actual legal implication but the optics would be fantastic.
