In August 2016, Nader met with Donald Trump Jr. at Trump Tower offering assistance to his father's presidential campaign.[12] Nader served as an envoy representing Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and de facto ruler Mohammad bin Salman and Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The meeting included Erik Prince and Joel Zamel, an Israeli specialist in social media manipulation[13][12] and owner of intelligence gathering firms including Wikistrat and the Psy-Group, who bragged to have received $2 million from Nader as part of the presidential campaign.[14]

Nader attended a December 2016 meeting in New York between the United Arab Emirates officials and president-elect Donald Trump's associates Jared Kushner, Michael Flynn, and Steve Bannon.[9] In January 2017 he was at a meeting on the Seychelles islands between the Emiratis and Erik Prince, and was present when Prince met with officials from the UAE and Kirill Dmitriev, head of state-run Russian Direct Investment Fund.[9]

Working with Republican fundraiser Elliott Broidy in 2017, Nader funded a conference criticizing Qatar that was hosted by the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.[15] At the time Nader and Broidy were pushing the White House to remove Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, whom the Saudis and Emiratis saw as insufficiently tough on Iran and Qatar.[6]

In January 2018, Nader was served a grand-jury subpoena,[16] and special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigators questioned him to elicit if the UAE had tried to influence members of President Trump’s campaign.[9][17] Kathryn Ruemmler, an Obama-era White House counsel, was among the lawyers representing Nader.[1] Nader was granted immunity for information for the investigation.[6][18]

It's been a while since this thread got a bump, so...

    That's just 1 out of a 30-part thread.

Unfortunately I agree with the commenters that nothing will happen. We saw Byrne on CNN he's very hard to follow, rambling. But it would not surprise me at all if this is all true and Jr was dealing with Butina and Torshin before Trump announced he was running.

    Vegas, baby, yeah!
They're only a equal branch of government when they have the votes to do some particular action.

I can't watch at work but from transcripts sure sounds like Lewandowski probably has been promised immunity and that's why he's been so aggressive. Refusing to agree with the question that what Trump dictated him to do was illegal is either as the guy said you're some kind of Forrest Gump, or you're lying for the President. He had to know that was illegal.

I wonder what teh statute of limitations on all this is, can the Dems just wait, win the election and then charge all these guys with Perjury, obstruction, contempt etc?

If they do it now they assume Trump will pardon them so they need to wait.

I turned off...as I was listening while I was working in my office...I can't stomach this. If Dems are never going to enforce the rules of our democracy, they shouldn't call these hearings. They look sheepish and weak as hell getting steamrolled by surrogates of Trump who have ZERO authority and right to act as they are. Do they not learn from the other 20 people who flaunt the law at the behest of the Orange Hitler? It's Neutered Nadler just sitting there letting it happen while refusing to step up and assert his authority. There is no long game and it is going to cost them the election because it plays into GOP hands and talking points. It makes them look desperate and grasping at straws by refusing to use their authority despite the fact they are technically doing the right thing by holding investigative hearings. But all that is lost if you don't ENFORCE. God, I am going to have a stroke with how disgusted and outraged I am at their complete lack of spine. GOPers don't give two squats what anybody thinks, they just do it. UGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

This is the hour worth the watch, especially when Barry Berke gets his 30 minutes (resulting in Doug Collins losing his lunch). Unfortunately, the Democrats are bad at TV and sprung this near the end when 90% of viewers had already tuned the hearing out:
