A famous Oxford anthropologist has found a link between the modern NFL and the origin of the professional game of football. While searching for dinosaur remains in North Dakota, he came across the remains of what could possibly be a million year old or more souvenir booklet of an early football league game.

Entitled The Mesozoic Football League, it lists what may be the original 10 teams by name: The Habilis, Erectus, Rudolfensis, Heidelbergensis, Floresiensis, Neanderthalensis, Naledi, Luzonensis, Australopithicus, and Cardinalis.

Two teams highlighted in this booklet, may be the ones that happened to have played that day:

The Erectus Axes vs The Cardinalis DinoBirds.
