The only problem I have with the draft is losing the fourth rounder

Onterrio Smith, Shaun McDonald, DeJuan Groce, Quentin Griffin, Matt Wilhelm, Lee Suggs were all available.

Onterrio Smith in the fourth round? That's value. He's a player.

If DeJuan Groce returns a punt for a TD against us next year (with the lambs), I'm gonna be pissed.

Yer right. As much as I bagged on the guy, as a part of my slanderous "Draft Leftwich" campaign, he'd be a great pick up at that point. He could easily add twenty more pounds to bulk up to about 330 or so. That's what Wendell needs next to him.

Actually I really doubt that. If Long is even a good NFL player, he will need to get a whole lot stronger and quicker.

I look at Long as a project, and I think most NFL teams agree with that idea.

A little simplisitic in the analysis but I get your point here...as well as other threads. I don't think it is cut and dried as saying Pace was actually our 4th rounder personally but in the big picture the Cards never really lost any picks.

Tango, I am not calling you personally simplistic (if anything you are the most complicated SOB I have ever "known" )

Giving up the 4th rounder was no big deal to me...simply the cost for making the trade. Swapping 2nd rounders is where it go too expensive for me personally.
