Had a nice afternoon outside of London yesterday enroute to Moscow and beyond.
It’s a big world out there -get out and enjoy it if at all possible.

Fun! Next time I'm in Japan I'm going to Cat Island...

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A Visit to Aoshima, a Japanese 'Cat Island
Aoshima Island is one of about a dozen "cat islands" around Japan, small places where there are significantly more feline residents than people. In Aoshima more than a hundred cats prowl the island, curling up in abandoned houses or strutting about in the quiet fishing village. Cats outnumber humans six to one on the island. Recently becoming popular online, tiny Aoshima has seen a steep rise in tourist visits, overwhelming the handful of permanent residents.

    Could use that here.

Went home for Christmas with my wife and kids (7 & 9) On the way out rolled the dice and they put us 2 & 2, which worked.

On the way back they scattered us without any nearby open seats.

We had to pay like $70 to sit together. Had rows of options of seats less desirable than where they placed us. There was even an open row in the back after the flight took off..... No need to split us.

If we had teenagers it wouldn't have mattered, but at 7 & 9 we weren't splitting.

AirCanada also has the pay for seats and I flew them this summer, but they will seats children with adults without a charge.
