Gotcha. Yeah, it's a strange time right now with the transition occuring. I think alot that are from the old school thinking are having a tough time breaking free from the "capitalism is god" mindset and that we will have leaders moving forward that are more in line with Yang and his "socialist" ideologies. I think the biggest change today is not the policies (socialism vs capitalism)....but the people. We are seemingly moving into a less competitive world where I feel like those ideas can fit and work with time.
I guess I shoulda said I don't really visit that forum anymore because that's no megathread lol.

I don't even think yang is that socialist, he just had a primary plank that included dinner socialism

Capitalism is great but the system is clearly broken and has been over run by flat out greed.
I would just work off that and push a little further that capitalism is good and fine.. but, it also inevitably LEADS to greed. We are trying to move towards equity for all as a society.. so how do we do that when capitalism will always lead to someone without equity. It's just the nature of beast..imo. So, it's for sure a system that has led us here and now...but the younger generations just aren't buying it anymore like the old school capitalism, that is. It's not about getting rid of competition (capitalism)..just more about having less of it. JMO on a direction that will ultimately figure itself out with time.

Capitalism is great but the system is clearly broken and has been over run by flat out greed. The gap between the upper and middle class has gotten ridiculous.

As long as people keep voting against there own interest it’s just going to get worse. Some of this stuff is so confusing but then I know why they do it

Capitalism is great and I wish we'd go back to it. The crony capitalism that we now have is a major problem for our future. We have way too much money being spent by the government that's that's going to cronies and enriching them while not giving the tax payers any sort of a decent ROI. We need to clean up the system for its long term health.

Anyone get in on those Trump network stocks?

No, I'm kicking myself for it. I should have bought Thursday when I found out about it after the first run up. Would have been a nice, quick flip on the Friday run.

I did by 40 shares of BENE on Friday. It had a weird run on rummers that it might be a Trump one too. I guess there's a bunch of things in common with it. I got it at about a buck over NAV so I figured it was worth gambling $40 if it does end up being another Trump Media **** and takes off.

@Devilmaycare long ago after talking to you and doing some research, I bought in to CCIV at like $29. I think today is the first time I am in the positive. I'm not excited yet but it is nice to at least see traction. From what I have seen so far, they are one of the only companies that I see being a big deal in the future. Rivian I am not fully sold on yet. The way Lucid is taking their steps and the plans they have are much bigger picture. I'm really, really not sold on the ICE manufacturers nor the effort they are putting in to lobby against their competition in DC.

Nice that you're positive now. It was unfortunate that I mentioned CCIV here when they were getting run up by the pump and dump that happened. My average is still sub-$20 so I'm loving today. I've actually been loving LCID all this week along with my TSLA. Both are printing right now.

Rivian I'm not completely sold on either. I still think LCID and TSLA are going to end up being the BMW-Merc of the EV world. The Air is a beautiful car and has been getting good reviews. Their tech is where it's at though and why I'm big on them. Their motors and battery tech is blowing everyone else out of the water. I keep wondering if we might end up seeing a tech play from them where they sell components to the old ICE companies as well as producing their own vehicles.

Yeah their tech, vision and battery stuff is really interesting. Real similar to tsla I'm a lot of ways. Rivian truck seems super cool but I've seen very little out of them besides we make a truck.

I don't think there is any reasoning or catalyst behind the LCID spike. Suspecting the retail options crowd sow TSLA exploding and have decided to go hard a TSLA and LCID options.

The catalyst was them starting to delivery cars. Rawlinson was also in Saudi Arabia to meet with them and present the prince with the first delivered car. There’s was also reports from the Saudi investment minister about Lucid building a manufacturing facility there. Basically the crown confirmed their support of the company.
