There was some confusion about exactly what was happening over the weekend after a series of leaks indicated that Respawn and EA were about to debut a new battle royale title set in the Titanfall universe. There were reports of a Super Bowl ad (which didn't happen) and the fact that the BR wouldn't actually have Titans (which it doesn't), and yesterday, the game itself was released into the wild with nearly no pre-promotion other than these leaks and rumors, which is almost unheard of in the industry. While the long term prospects of Apex Legends are unclear, taking the temperature of the general gaming community, so far the reaction has been overwhelmingly positive. My own take? Perhaps slightly
