He definitely has A stuff, just needs to harness it. I have a lot of hope for Pfaadt.

The last 8 starts are solid #3 numbers. .125 WHIP would be the 28th best WHIP in baseball among qualified starters.

He really is the heir to Kelly's spot in 2 years.

Is it weird that he reminds me of Greg Maddux with his throwing style, pitch selection and movement? Obviously, he's nowhere near Maddux, but he does remind me of him.

Saw a Maddox video on Youtube a few weeks back. It was interesting in that Maddox said, when most pitchers got in a jam they look to throw harder to get it past the batter. He said he always looked to throw a bit softer and locate better.

Maddux was the absolute master of working batters inside and outside...and letting the natural movement of his pitches jam batters or chase them off the plate. I see similar movement in Pfaadt's pitches.
