Great book and story. Disappointing movie. They made it a sports movie instead of all the humanity of Joe, Ulbrecht and the boatmaker.

Wife and I enjoyed it for what it was - a feel-good underdog movie. We haven't read the book though. My MIL highly recommends it even after seeing the movie.

Everything I’ve read about this movie is that it is long, boring and cliched. Might feel good but it sticks to the formula to a tee. That’s not worth the cost of a ticket IMO.

Damn, I was really looking forward to this one...the book is so good. Clooney did Monuments Men which was kind of a dud too. Needs to find his footing as a director.
