Remember when fascist GOPers claimed to oppose “a litmus test...”?
This all pisses me off so effing much. Ireland approved abortion. IRELAND! A Catholic nation. Yet here we are.
My mom got pregnant in 1972 at age 19, before Roe V. Wade. She never had a choice. I think she should have had one.
I found out I was pregnant at 8 1/2 weeks. Not every woman experiences indicators that she is pregnant. I got sick once. Never missed a cycle. The only thing that I experienced was extreme fatigue. I never thought in a million years I was pregnant.
I didn't have an easy pregnancy. (Stupid sentence ... women rarely do.) My doctor was pretty much told me not to get pregnant again. So, what happens if I do under these stupid laws? What if the pregnancy threatens my life? Do you have me carry a baby to term at age 47 and risk a three-year old losing her mother? And what about rape and incest. Like, really. What in the eff?
I really hate how backwards we are going. I am having a hard time resigning myself to raising my daughter here. Crap's gotta start swinging in the other direction and fast.
Of course but by now it's pretty clear both the GOP, and their voters don't care about that stuff. That became really clear with Trump, Roy Moore and Kavanagh. So having that in your background if you're a GOP candidate is not a big deal, if you're a Dem, it's a huge deal, it's what they call in Silicon Valley a show stopper.
Remember Trump was trotting out Bill Clinton accusers during the campaign, if Biden is the choice and if there are more women out there with similar tales they're going to come out. I hate to say it but I almost think the GOP is baiting the Dems into picking Biden for that reason.
This is a coordinated attack. They obviously believe this gets them more votes than it loses.
It also takes the focus off of health care which is a no win for the GOP. Righties who might of flipped for legit health care reform will vote red to stop doctors and mothers from executing babies.

It all feels like a coordinated plan is unfolding.

the battle for Roe ended on Nov. 7, 2016. There's no way it survives this Supreme Court.
I think it depends a lot on which law is the one that gets before them. The swing vote is Roberts, and I can't believe he'd overturn Roe on the Alabama law, which is far too sweeping. Something that chips away has a better chance of weakening the foundation.
Of course, the timing matters too: Will the challenge come before or after the next vacancy gets filled? And if a Democrat regains the White House but McConnell is still majority leader, will the seat get filled at all?
That seems to be the prevailing thought at this point.
Yeah... it's an old trick in my industry. Write something COMPLETELY ridiculous that you KNOW will freak the networks out and will never get on the air... so you can them pitch them the pretty ridiculous thing you really wanted to do which will look tame by comparison and thus get it on the air.
Tomi gets it.

I'm taking a driving course right now, and the question came up of "can you drive in the HOV lane if you're pregnant?" Stupid question, yes. But, now, with these heartbeat laws, I mean, can you?
And, as a side note, I don't think I should get a camera ticket for speeding when I am simply trying to get through the traffic light when it turned yellow and I didn't notice and didn't want to get a red light ticket. It's a freaking racket!
I thought camera tickets were deemed unenforceable, at least a few years ago they were. I got one in the Phoenix area a few years back and just ignored it. But I live in Cali.
