You take a flyer on other team's rejects and this's what you'll get most of the time. Do the Diamondbacks seriously think they're going to turn lead into gold when they sign below replacement level players and they end up failing? Even the serivicible pitchers they have get misused and end up failing.

How Gallen and M. Kelly have avoided it is beyond me.
