Watson was an elite talent on the rise until he completely derailed himself and maybe his career.

He has 1/4 of a billion dollars guaranteed though, so he will be fine.

His last full season in Houston was something like the 4th best season ever by an NFL QB.

Since then, he was ruled out of every game for an entire season due to his off-field issues, got the huge contract, and has had two seasons of playing 6 games (due to being suspended and now being injured).

I doubt he will ever play again, at least for dallas. this is his 2nd or 3rd neck injury and came out of college with concerns that he would be prone to serious upper body injuries. I don't know that this is really a blow to the cowboys defense at this point because they have looked a lot better without him.
