He was clearly the best player on the board. Glad to see that Armstrong didn’t try to get too cute and just selected the best player there. Pretty much every expert that I’ve read had Guenther as a top 5 player.

Wow. Big reach at #10. The forfeited pick really hurts. Wallstedt (or Cossa) is sitting there for the taking at #11.

I love that the NHL allows its drafted players to still go and play in college. I’ve never understood why the MLB doesn’t adopt the same policy.

Josh Doan wasn't rated anywhere near the 37th best overall prospect. That pick reeks of nepotism.

Normally I would agree, but all of our 2nd round picks were huge reaches, so apparently their board is vastly different than the national experts.
