Should be a fun year next year. What do we do with Pau and/or Bynum? Building the bench? Keeping Sessions? More time with Hill? Kobe older and slower and still mad and still the biggest weapon/liability possible?

Making a play for Dwill somehow?

Getting rid of Mike Brown and his lack of offensive coaching ability?

The drive for 17 begins...now.

This Lakers' fan cannot wait until we're talking about the post-Kobe years.

Haha. Can't wait to have a good laugh at next years team too.

Yes, since the Suns will be fishing from preseason on, and your bff Miami team will be imploding after losing again this postseason, I guess the Lakers annual postseason journey will be your entertainment.

I'm actually kind of happy bro.

Lots of championships tend to do that.

Just picked up Bynum's option. He's maturing into a top center ... now, if they'll just feed him the ball !!

Bynum and maturing in the same sentence? Uhm...I can say a LOT of good things about Drew, but his maturity isn't one of them. :D

If Bynum wasn't such a headcase, he'd be the top center in the league.

Lakers draft Sacre, acquire Johnson-Odom from Mavs

http://www.nba.com/2012/news/06/29/lakers-draft-moves.ap/

The Los Angeles Lakers selected Gonzaga center Robert Sacre on Thursday night with the final pick of the NBA draft.

Sacre is a 7-foot Canadian who was the West Coast Conference's defensive player of the year. He made his second straight all-league first team last season, averaging 11.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.4 blocked shots.

The Lakers also acquired the rights to Marquette guard Darius Johnson-Odom for cash considerations. Johnson-Odom was the 55th overall pick by Dallas.

Johnson-Odom was an all-conference shooting guard as a senior last season, leading the Golden Eagles in scoring for the second straight year with 18.3 points per game. The Raleigh, N.C., product transferred to Marquette after one season at Hutchinson Community College, producing three solid seasons in Milwaukee.

No. For the longest time, LA didn't even have a point position because the triangle point is not really a point. Then they got sessions to run the offense. The Lakers have been starved for a PG for ages now, which is why they tried to get Chris Paul last year.

Kobe often initiates the offense, by necessity because the rest suck, but he's much more effective playing off the ball and getting open.

I wonder which number Nash will wear in LA? Can't be 13.
