Houston Texans fans can't seem to get enough of former Michigan offensive lineman LaDarius Henderson.
Neither can third-year coach DeMeco Ryans entering the second day of rookie minicamp.
After missing the entire 2024 season due to injury, Henderson is working his way back to 100 percent. He's a longshot to make the final 53-man roster, but has become a fan favorite in recent weeks since the Texans need help on the interior offensive line.
“Just throughout the offseason, throughout the entire season just seeing LaDarius show up every day, smile on his face, having that joy,” Ryans said. “He gives me energy just seeing him in the building how excited he is to just work, get better, weight room, on the field.
“We wanted to get him out here in the rookie minicamp because he didn’t have this time last year, just get on the field.”
Despite not being a rookie, Henderson's departure from last season allotted him time to work one-on-one with new offensive line coach Cole Popovich. Ryans also said he noticed a significant transition in his body transformation, putting himself in an exceptional position to take another step forward in his career.
"I’m just excited to see how this journey continues to go for him because it’s definitely headed in the right direction and he's done everything the right way, everything you could possibly do to put yourself in position to have a successful year, he’s done that," Ryans said.
The Texans return to practice next week, with Henderson potentially having a chance to work with the second-team offense.

#ASU LG Ladarius Henderson absolutely lays out this #Washington defender while pulling to the weak side backside EDGE players, beware! Mauler at the POA. pic.twitter.com/STluXhRRA0
