A lot of people want to redirect blame. If I was going to give Rallis an excuse, it would be that Monti has given him dogshit talent to work with.
He had talent to work with last year and they were dogshit then too. An average LBer like Mack Wilson getting injured isn’t an excuse for them being an abomination.

Frisco was getting 10 yards a pop on that last drive

This D did not look anywhere interested in making a stop

Poor tackling and weak effort

And again Rallis plays a soft zone

Go with what got you to that point in the game

If you lose by doing it you at least gave your best effort

Not prevent D with DBs off the receivers so far

Opponents then T off on us and we lay down

So yes a lot of that is on Rallis which is another reason to get rid of him

If ML thinks Rallis is intelligent enough to be a D-cord. we have a problem. I had a little hope Rallis would/could make adjustments, not anymore. The last two drives from the Niners was pathetic!! Load up to stop the run or pass, we couldn't slow down either.

It appeared to be men playing boys, does Rallis try something different?... NO, same crap!!

I’m not saying TA is our permanent answer, but anything is better than watching a four man rush that never gets home and Shell coverage which relies on the four man rush getting home. The one time we had a successful blitz against San Francisco, Brock Purdy threw a really bad pass. Yet, we continued to rush four and play shell coverage and of course lose the game. This has been our defense the past couple years. anything is better than watching this crap scheme of defense.

It's irrelevant. You can't change DC mid season and change scheme. The defense would get worse, not better.

It is what it is for this year.
You don't necessarily have to completely change schemes. Changing how the defense is called, changing coverages called, changing blitzes, etc can all be done without changing the overall scheme.

Respectively disagree. Head Coaches have fired both OCs & DCs almost yearly when things go wrong. They are the first to go. I'm not saying we should do that but it is common practice in the NFL.

D is bad, but I don't believe the athletic ability in our players can be that much worse than than the other 31 teams. Probably some difference, but not enough to allow that crap two drives against the Niners. It seems other teams can coach up players a lot better than us. Coaching!!

The Niners have had, what 4 D-cords in 5 seasons? They’ve been decimated by injuries it’s seems for the 3rd season in a row on Defense.

Yet, somehow, each one of them have been able to scheme pressure and performance.

Why is that?

Why does it seem most teams are able to scheme up performance despite lack of talent?

I’m sick of NR getting a pass.

Three takeaways and four sacks today right?

And we still gave up 30 points.

I’m no Rallis fan, but Some of that is on our offense and special teams giving them short fields.

I’m just saying if you’re going to pick a week to rail against NR and the defense, today is not your strongest case.

Don't worry, there will be plenty of games to choose from.

Outside the sacks, we had very little pressure. Counter to the Giants, who pressured Jacoby constantly. The offense should have capitalized more on the turnovers. While players made some plays, Winston had some pretty bad throws too.

Giving up the 3rd and 20 was a dagger. Unacceptable.
