While the financial numbers have been known for some time, the Tennessee Titans have finally come to terms with first overall selection Cam Ward. The team announced the signing on Wednesday, with Ward signing a fully guaranteed four-year, $48.75 million contract.

Now that he is under contract, he can solely focus on winning the starting job during the remaining offseason activities. According to the franchise, Ward will be battling incumbent Will Levis, in what will likely be a cursory competition for the starting role. Franchises do not invest top draft capital for a player to start his career on the sidelines.

If all goes well for Ward, he should make his first start in the NFL against the Denver Broncos during Week 1 of the 2025 season. Tennessee will be traveling to a hostile environment in the Mile High City in what projects to be a tough opener for a young quarterback. For Ward, it is just the next challenge for him to overcome after rising from zero-star recruit to the first overall selection.

With Ward under contract, only second-round pick Oluwafemi Oladejo and fourth-round pick Chimere Dike are left unsigned from the Titans' 2025 draft class.
