After months of waiting, the Super Bowl champion Eagles returned to the NovaCare Complex for the first day of training camp practices. An annual tradition saw GM Howie Roseman and head coach Nick Sirianni offer an early State of the Franchise address before the journey towards another playoff run. With the first practice now complete, we're reviewing takeaways and observations from Roseman's and Sirianni's first 2025 press conference.

Sirianni and the Eagles have moved on from 2024

Jalen Hurts, Jordan Mailata, and several other Eagles all echoed the same sentiments on Day 1. The Super Bowl year is over, and a new journey begins.

The Super Bowl is in the rear view. Nick Sirianni says this training camp is and will be no different than any camp he’s been a part of since he’s been here.

It’s about being in the moment and getting better everyday. He said that message has resonated with his players. pic.twitter.com/QlxmBM1LLf

Eagles looking to use draft picks to rebuild the roster

Philadelphia has one of the youngest rosters in the NFL, and they'll continue to add youth with 13 picks in the 2026 NFL draft. Whether it's using those picks or utilizing them as assets, Roseman's going to rebuild.

Sirianni and Roseman are looking to build on past success

Not resting on past success, the GM and head coach are in sync.

Howie Roseman on signing key players early

While teams like Dallas, Washington, Cincinnati, and others are dealing with training camp drama, Howie Roseman had perfect attendance on Day 1. He gave insight into why Philadelphia likes to sign players early.

Howie Roseman says it’s always been important for the Eagles to sign their players early (like they have with Jurgens, Devonta, Dickerson, etc)

Says it is important for the team culture for players to know if they come to the Eagles and perform they will be rewarded

Jihaad Campbell is ready to debut

After trading up one pick for the star linebacker out of Alabama, Eagles brass had to wait for his on-field debut. That happened on Wednesday.

Eagles first round pick, LB Jihaad Campbell, will practice today, Nick Sirianni said.

Campbell is coming off shoulder surgery. To be seen whether he’s full go but a positive development for Vic Fangio’s group.
