Surgery might still be required to fix star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown's knee, per recent reporting from Celtics Blog's Noa Dalzell. In a recent interview with the Georgia native, Celtics Blog learned that no firm course of action to address the partially torn meniscus Brown finished the 2024-25 NBA regular season and all of the 2025 NBA Playoffs playing on, with surgery still being on the table.
"I have got a lot of doctors I have got to get evaluated with," said Brown. "See the potential for surgery vs. no surgery, (and) wait to speak to the (Celtics) organization."
"For now, it’s just rest and recovery. I’m taking a step back from a long season. Mentally, it was a lot of stuff going on," he added.
Previously, Boston President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens relayed that the Cal alum's knee was "in a good place, structurally," and that "hopefully, he’ll feel better after being off of it for a couple of weeks here."
No word from Brown in that interview regarding how his knee has felt with over a week of rest behind it, but we will likely hear more details about the potentiality of surgery vs. rest for the Celtics star as the summer continues to unfold.
