Jones played for the Baltimore Ravens from 2010 to 2013, helping them secure a Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers in 2013. After leaving the Ravens, Jones played for the Indianapolis Colts and the Washington Commanders.

He was the older brother of former NFL pro-bowler Chandler Jones and former UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

His former teammate, Walter Stone Sanders, reacted in the comments of the Ravens' post on Instagram, writing, "Dam Big Bro… My Teammate My rookie nfl camp year with the Ravens man you always brought energy and was funny, much love."

One fan recalled a meaningful moment with Jones. "We got to meet him after the Super Bowl at a signing. We were the last ones in line, and he chatted with my husband. And he was very sweet," said one fan.

Another person who spent time with Jones remembers him as an "absolute gem of a human with such a big heart," adding that his death "hurts" in the comments.
