7 teams involved is just mind boggling. However, I wonder if trades in general become more complex because of the new apron system when it comes to players with huge contracts like this. How would you like to be a front office CAP guy in the NBA today?!?!

I'd pass on being a capologist in the new NBA.

This is probably to facilitate Houston with their salary situation because I read somewhere that they didn't quite have the cap space for the deals they committed to without at least one of them being a sign & trade.

The Suns and Rockets already agreed to a deal. If the Rockets are now trying to alter it to better accommodate their finances it would make sense for the Suns to receive additional compensation.
