I'm unsure how chandler makes the list. I think Ulis might have more value at present.

The reason you trade stars like Jimmy butler is because they recognize they arent contending any time soon thus having a 28 year old star right now is doing no good. Trade that 28 year old in for some youth who will make you a contender in 5 years.

therefore that makes Booker untouchable.

Because Booker is 20. And hes already approaching superstar status. Meaning he will still be a young star when we eventually become contenders again in 2-3 years. 100% untouchable.

I don't "dislike" him; I just think he has pretty low value around the league. As for Chandler, there are a few second-tier teams who could be interested his defense and/or leadership, and his contract is very reasonable.

fivethirtyeight has Bledsoe with a WAR of 5 next year and a contract value of 25.7 million.

His PER last year was 37th in the NBA and far and away the best on the Suns.

He was also 37th in estimated wins and value added by Hollinger. Really he is solidly in the upper 20 guards in the NBA

The list depends a lot on who you are trading with. Teams that are looking to make a playoff run would probably take Bledsoe wheras a team that is at the beginning of a total rebuild would have no use for him at all.

Agreed. He is a great 3rd piece for a team trying to get to win now.

Warren's "head injury" hurts his value. I think it could go up if the Suns let another team view his medical records and they were ok with them. Had he not had that setback though I think he'd be #6. Cap space holds more value this year because of how the cap went down otherwise it'd be at the bottom of the list, IMO.

This sure has changed...

#1 - Ayton
#2 - Booker
#3 - 2019 1st Round pick
#4 - Warren
#5 - Bridges
#6 - Jackson
#7 - Trevor Ariza or Troy Daniels ($15m & $3.3m Expiring Contracts + Rotation Player)
#8 - Bucks Pick
#9 - Okobo
#10 - Bender ($4.9 Expiring)

I didn't include future picks because if we trade a 1st round pick that would limit our options for trading another because of the Stepian rule.

I have Ariza and Daniels listed together because both could provide some value to a team looking to shed salary and get a player who can play. Ariza has more value to a playoff team but it's unlikely a playoff team could take on that contract easily. Daniels doesn't offer as much as a player but he could be a 2nd guard off the bench that provides 3pt shooting. His salary is small also which would make him more valuable to a playoff team looking to shed a little salary and get a player for a late season run. His contract is almost the perfect amount to trade him for a rookie who isn't contributing and a team doesn't see much of a future with.

Warren's on a longterm contract that is cap and team friendly, which makes him more valuable. Since his rookie contract has finally run it's course it would be easier to trade him for value since he wouldn't be paid a much smaller rookie contract amount this season that almost triples annually after the first season.

Bridges has more value than JJ right now but that could change once JJ gets back on track or the shines wears off of Bridges some. He's played really well in limited minutes so far but it is just limited minutes. He was a lottery pick for a reason though and could sustain his value as he sees more playing time.

I'd still have Booker first in trade value but I'm pretty sure you can include the 2020 pick even if you're assuming the 2019 will be moved first. The Stepien rule would have no bearing as we would still have Milwaukee's first in 2019.

There are restrictions on the Bucks pick. It only becomes unprotected in 2021. When the pick conveys has to be considered.

Milwaukee will send its 2018 first-round pick to Phoenix if it lands between Nos. 11 and 16. If the pick carries beyond 2018, the Suns get a loosening of protections in 2019 (Nos. 4 to 16), 2020 (Nos. 8 to 30) and 2021, when the pick would come unprotected. The Suns will get the Bucks' 2018 second-round pick if it lands between Nos. 48 and 60. Otherwise, the Bucks keep the pick.

I was just going to say that the Bucks pick is protected #1-3 and #17-30 this year. If it only had the #1-3 protection then we'd be fine, most likely, but that back end protection will get us. I believe next year it's #1-7 with no back end and then unprotected in 2021.

I don't think his value would be that high because of his impending max deal. Another team might have wanted options on that or to let him hit the open market so they could match a max offer, which would save them a year and a few million in annual raises. Since he's also had a few recent injuries, I can see another team being a little hesitant to give up more for Booker than Ayton because of the max deal plus injuries.
