On Friday the Suns wrap up their brief two game road trip at the Thunder only to come home to face the Rockets on Saturday in back-to-back games.

Thunder (13-14) have won two games in a row with their last wins coming at home over the Bulls and Grizzlies.

Suns (11-16) are trying to break a four game losing streak with their last loss coming at the Clippers.

Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m. MST (Arizona time).

It will be televised on FSAZ.

Here is the injury report.

Kellan Olson‏Verified account @KellanOlson

Deandre Ayton is out tomorrow due to a right ankle sprain.

Devin Booker (right forearm contusion) and Cam Johnson (left hip soreness) are both questionable.

Tyler Johnson (illness) is probable.

I saw it happen in the Clippers game but I was hoping it wasn't serious.

Kept telling myself everything will be okay when Ayton never reentered the game after he went out.

I'm sure he would have made Ayton avoid rolling his ankle? Most of this is just bad luck and nothing more.

Or the grass is not always greener. The Suns were once considered to have the best training staff in the NBA.

They were known for being ahead of the curve with their techniques and whatnot. Nowadays pretty much everyone incorporates those same techniques and have all the same information available to them. Not suggesting that Nelson isn't a better trainer than our current one, but it's not like we are being hit with a ton of injuries that the training staff could have avoided.

Admittedly it's less about trainers and more about the Suns only winning 21.75 games over the last 4 seasons. I'm not counting this season.

The Suns have been snake bitten with injuries for a while now. Aaron Nelson lost whatever healing touch he had.

He's with New Orleans now and they've had injuries to basically everyone on their roster at one point or another already.

And if neither play against the Thunder, they probably will not play against the Rockets on Saturday.

It's more like wanting a tangible reason for the injuries when none are to be found.

Agreed. How many trainers are in their team’s ring of honor? Pretty cool.

Only Joe Proski. It's a huge honor for an athletic trainer to be in the Phoenix Suns Ring of Honor and Joe deserved it.

I saw it happen in the Clippers game but I was hoping it wasn't serious.

Kept telling myself everything will be okay when Ayton never reentered the game after he went out.
When Eddie commented that Ayton will play through it, I thought that
a "macho" comment won't help the situation. And I posted about it.

I think he just pulled up lame vs. another player being involved.

I guess it proves that, no how much training you do when you can't
play, there is no substitute for on-court, full-game action.

We can add this to the number of losses the Suns will suffer as an
aftermath to Ayton's naive behavior. That is a clock we don't want
to keep ticking.

It is not bad luck. It is about not preparing for the grind of an NBA
season. Emotionally and physically.

It is especially sad to be reminded about the wishy-washy comments
that Ayton make to the Press after he was the #1 draft pick.

He needs a serious check-up from the neck up.

Really agree with your first paragraph. On the other hand, ankle sprains happen. I'd like to see a replay of this if anyone has it.

"Bad luck", "Sprains happen". I am amazed at how many Suns fans here are so
passive about losing players.

I supported heavily making Ayton our #1 pick, because we need a solid player
in the post more than a distributing wing. I am angry and disappointed that he
let us down. And I am disappointed that, in his first game back, and despite
leading us to believe the opposite, he still seems be hesitant to muscle his
way to the basket. The ones who play like wusses are the ones who get hurt.

If we move mountains to get a mid-career Power Forward who can cover
Ayton's weakness, fine. If not, then we need a Center with cojones and,
I'll say it again, move Ayton to a position where he can be successful.

Ayton and Saric, despite whatever stats they put up side by side, are
not the right starting combination to make us a playoff team.

It would be great to have Devin Booker and Cam Johnson available tonight.
