Rasheer Fleming has the build and skills if the Suns can find a way to unleash them.

I guess Fleming is not starting. He should have been more assertive in this game and the previous. Maybe send him to the G League for some weeks to help with his development.

Fleming looks promising. I'm not sure how good he can be but I think he was a good pick and worth developing. I think he can be all Kuminga is and more so I'm out on a Kuminga deal.

Stock up on those athletic big men with size. One can always trade one if a team has too many. :)

We need to be cautious with assets going forward. Loading up lowers all of their value, see Bradley Beal and to a lesser extent KD. I don't want to be on the hook for Kuminga at $30+ million a year.

My impressions of Huntley and Flemming is they are playing to NOT make mistakes, instead of creating havoc on defense. There's been a couple times Flemming pokes the ball away from guys trying to dribble on him, and you can see how the reach he has plays on defense. Both guys however, seem like they are trying too hard not to mess up versus balling out to show their skills.

Another thought, Huntley is WAY better as a big on our G league team than any big we had on the G League roster last year. Our G League bigs last year were smallish for bigs.

Nice catch and shoot. But WTH was that lob pass to a guy directly under the basket?!?

It looked like Brandon Angel had already made up his mind, he was going to pass the ball to Fleming in the corner.

Angel, a 6'9" forward, didn't look half bad. Maybe he will play for the Suns G-League team.

Can he be an Aaron Gordon? I don't know, but trading a couple of role players for a starting power forward is very tempting.

This is not at all like the Durant trade in terms of giving up a ton of assets.

The Suns are going to have to make some calculated gambles somewhere along the way.

I haven't been paying attention to the summer league games, and I see ^^^ this post above, but how did Maluach, Brea, and Fleming look in the actual games? Look promising or a lot of work ahead of them?

Lots of work ahead, but flashes. Don’t expect a lot right outta the gate from any of them.

Maluach is still raw. He had moments where he showed what he can be but he was also lost a fair bit. He never lost confidence, like Ayton, which was encouraging. He showed a surprisingly good range and confidence on his shot from outside.

Brea was a surprise. Kid is like a young Klay Thompson on offense. Lightning quick release and ability from deep. He's horrendous on defense. Maybe that's SL and he didn't try much. I think he is ready for an Eddie House role of throwing something out there now to see if it works before conceding games. His shooting is as good as advertised.

Fleming is a tough read. Great athlete but I'm not sold. High ceiling but could be a bust. Well worth a second round pick. Maybe he's something, maybe not. I think a younger Jaden McDaniels is a good comparison for him. Jaden plays for Minnesota and caused fits for the Suns last year in the playoffs.

Excited about the season. We might get fewer wins but expectations are different and hopefully the spirit and the way they play. A lot of unknowns. Green, solo-Book, Dunn, Oso, CG12, and the rooks + more. Just have to get through the summer and autumn.

Khaman has a lot of confidence in his three. He often stands in the corner on offense calling for the ball. He moves very well for 7-2 and you can tell he is mentally engaged in the game. He needs to add some muscle, which his frame will support, and the game needs to slow down a bit for him mentally.
