On Sunday the Suns play the third game of their five game road trip at the Pistons.

They still have games left at San Antonio on Monday and Dallas on Thursday.

Pistons are (10-31) after beating the Raptors at home on Friday.

Suns are (32-9) and have won the first two games of the trip.

The game is scheduled to be televised on Bally Sports Arizona.

It's an early start at 11 a.m. Arizona time.

Here is something I didn't know. The Pistons have beat the Raptors 5 straight times.

I was surprised to read that at first and then I remembered that Covid forced the Raptors to play the whole season on the road last year.

This is true. Even so, the Raptors are never a team I consider an easier team for the Suns to play.

Chris Boucher alone is a thorn in the Suns side.

The Pistons have played better as of late. Saddiq Bey has been shooting lights out and Cade is finding his game. They gave us some trouble in Phoenix, tomorrow should be interesting with an early start time. Book being back in his home state is gonna wanna put on a show

The early start worries me the most. Suns were shell shocked in an early game in Boston.

Jerami Grant had a huge game in their previous meeting.

They’ve had a lot of this stretch without Jerami though. I know there’s talks of trading him. We shall see. That Boston game on NYE was rough lol. I’m actually curious how DA comes out. He had a quiet second half after a dominant first in Indy. We also have the Spurs on a b2b. Let’s take care of business boys.

The spacing between games on this road leaves a lot to be desired.

As an example, the Suns play at the Spurs on Monday only to play at the Mavericks on Thursday.

Paris Bass is still with the Suns on a 10-day contract.

Man. What is it with the Cards and failing at the end of seasons?

Here is to a victory in Detroit for the Suns. Two games ahead of the league I. The loss column.

Here is a hint at how the Suns viewed Jalen Smith in the draft... more of a Jerami Grant type player.

Kelly Olynyk and Frank Jackson could play for Pistons today.

Yikes at the first part.

Exactly.

It's more important for a team to hit on a player in the draft than necessarily a position. Players can always be traded later for a position of need.

Bottom line the Suns gave up on Jalen Smith too quickly. He may well still make the transition from a 5 to a 4. The most important thing, he is an NBA player.

An NBA player with big upside... who would have been a pretty cheap contract for the next couple years.
