Booker did the postgame interview and walked off the court fine.

Waiting to hear about the health of Bradley Beal.

Personally, I don't like the NBA in-season tournament point differential thing. I wish there was another way to do it.

I don't believe.the was any malicious intent by Collins. It looked painful and the Suns are plucky that Booker wasn't hurt. Booker was too focused on going through Collins.and sticking to his assignment so he didn't see he screen until it was roo late. Devin. Needs to pay more attention. Guys will play until the final whistle in tournament games. You can't let up or lose focus.

With even pools of teams and games I'm not sure there is a better way. They could include.regular season tie-breakers but that links the tournament to the season when their goal is to separate.

It benefited the Suns last year otherwise the Suns wouldn't have made it passed group play. I believe we tied with Sacramento but a deliberate padding by Booker in our last outing, or second to last, made the difference. Book even referenced it when asked about running up the score.

Booker praises the tie breaker and bashes whiners.

Here's the specific game that drew criticism. The Suns won by 21 vs Memphis. Book said he wished all games were like that, played until the buzzer.

Tournament info for 2023. Suns were group A. Played Lakers, Grizzlies, Jazz, and Blazers. Went 3-1. Minnesota was 3-1 also. Suns won the wildcard by point differential. Group winners also advanced. So 4 teams each conference. Each team plays other group team's once. So there can't be a tie in group that can't be solved by head to head outcomes. Wildcard and seeding is where tiebreakers come in.

I didn't see any malicious intent by Collins either, but it doesn't make me feel any better about Booker being brought back in the game to try to increase the point differential.

It may work in Europe, but it doesn't excite me as a fan.

Regarding the in-season tournament, I agree it would be better if everyone played their final game on the last day and at the same time.

I saw someone else imply Collins made a dirty play. You shared the video and I felt it was more appropriate to comment on that directly. It looked painful for both parties. We're lucky no one was sidelined.

It's a long season. I think it.will take more time for some to accept the tournament. There's no prestige to it right now and with the prize just being cash it will take time to come around. I really wish there was something to make fans care but I'll accept all 48 minutes being meaningful.

I think a draft pick, exception,. or guaranteed playoff spot would all be nice. As of now,, why do I care KD or Book can qualify for an extra game check? I want to see it improve the team as a whole.

I'm sure I will adapt to the tournament in time. Things are still new. There is a learning curve. We agree, an incentive beyond money would help the average fan to relate.

@Hoop Head

Devin Booker again supports playing the game to the end, as you mentioned.

Oh, this is part of the in season tournament/emirates cup. I am already dreading to the hideous courts that will obliterate my eyeballs.
What, you don’t like gray? Lots of gray. All gray.

Oso Ighodaro with 6 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks. Not bad for a rookie, second round draft pick.
Oso was fantastic. But the Jazz are smaller than we are, especially when Kessler isn't playing.

John Collins (even with as good a game as he had) isn't Domatis Sabonis, that's for sure.

Although the Jazz appear to have a good find, in big man Kyle Filipowski.

I'm extremely happy that both Ryan Dunn and Oso Ighodaro are getting important minutes as rookies.
