Strange symptom I just experienced (thoughts?)

    I have had this several times in my life. I call it a "synapses pop" for no good reason other than it sounds like it explains what I experienced. I have had no lasting effects (that I know of) and the weird feeling usually abates within an hour or so after the pop.

    Have you had any more or are you still dealing with the effects?

    No, the feeling of tightness lasted for about 4 or 5 days (decreasing with each day). I went to urgent care that night to make sure nothing severe. The doc I saw said if it lasted more than 1 week, I would need to have it checked out.

    I marked the areas in blue that experienced discomfort with the most significant discomfort in the line from top of cheekbone (just under my eye) all the way to my neck and clavicle area.

    What are the red areas signifying?

    I googled jaw muscles and referred pain and found this image. I know some people that have had pains like that and they came from TMJ. I was just thinking about the jaw because you mentioned that you were eating. If it happens again, you might want to visit a D.O. They've done wonders for many in my family. Just make sure you find one that performs OMM when it's appropriate.
