While the North Carolina Tar Heels' football program is struggling to find success this season, a former quarterback is on the rise in his second year in the NFL.
New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is a rising star in the NFL after being taken No. 3 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft. After a bit of a rocky start in his rookie year, Maye has found something here in his second year working under Mike Vrabel and Josh McDaniels.
And Sunday night in Orchard Park was Maye's coming-out party.
The quarterback helped lead the Patriots to an upset win over the previously unbeaten Buffalo Bills. Maye led a few second-half scoring drives, including the game-winner at the end to beat the Bills. During and after the game, Maye was the talk of social media as many believe he's on his way to being a star. Here's how social media reacted to Maye's performance.
