CAMDEN, N.J. -- The Philadelphia 76ers ascended upon the team's practice facility in Camden, NJ for media day on Friday looking to turn the page on the miserable 2024-25 season. The Sixers finished 24-58 as injuries decimated the roster and ruined any hopes of winning a championship.

With that being said, the Sixers were able to see others step up and produce due to the opportunities presented to them. One of those players was Quentin Grimes who was acquired at the deadline from the Dallas Mavericks. Taking on the No. 1 option role on the offensive end, he averaged 21.9 points per game for the Sixers as he headed into restricted free agency which has been tricky to navigate.

Grimes remains unsigned as the Sixers are still looking to come up with the right deal for both sides. He was not at media day as President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey addressed the current Grimes situation.

"I think NBA rules don't let me characterize," laughed Morey. "I will say, I think we'll get to a resolution in the next few days, hopefully. We're excited to bring him back. Quentin's a big part of what we're trying to do, now and into the future, if we can get things resolved."

One has to wonder when the Grimes situation will be fixed and taken care of. The Sixers will be without Jared McCain for some time as he looks to recover from a torn UCL in his right thumb. That development should make the Sixers want to get something done with Grimes quickly as training camp gets underway on Saturday.
