How do you close programs during startup...I remember there is something you type in the Run box, but I forgot what it was.

Is there any folder name or .exe you need to type in?
That's all you type in, unless you have Windows 2000. Then "msconfig" won't work.

In Win98 type msconfig at the run box, then click the last tab for the startup programs. Deselect the programs you don't want to start at boot up.

If you have XP or 2000

type msinfo32
go to the Software environment and Startup Programs.
They are listed there. they will be in the startup group or in the registry. Everything else is under services.
